Mark Martin FCA CTA
Managing Director
Mark co-founded Caldwell Penn in 1993, having spent his early career at Leach Bright (now BDO Stoy Hayward) and then the London Stock Exchange, where he was the Group Tax Manager.
Mark has over 30 year’s experience helping owner-managed businesses achieve their full potential, utilising his extensive tax knowledge to implement commercially efficient structures, which are tax effective.
When not working, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, at the gym and following his favourite football Team.
Katie Halsall FCCA ACA
Director of Audit & Compliance
Katie joined Caldwell Penn in 2007 previously having worked at Taylor Cocks in Farnham. Katie was made a Director in January 2019 after successfully passing the ACA pathways examination.
Katie has experience of all aspects of audit and accounts with a focus on FCA regulated clients, clubs, group companies, solicitors and other specialist accounting areas. Katie is also in charge of training and was instrumental in achieving ACCA Platinum Employer and ACA Approved Employer status for the firm.
When she is not working, Katie spends her time with her husband and two daughters and also runs a Rainbow unit. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with friends and reading.
Lawrence Evans ACA
Director of Business Development
Lawrence is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and joined Caldwell Penn in 2012.
Lawrence has experience in proactively supporting a diverse portfolio of clients to increase profits, minimise liabilities, maximise wealth, reduce risk and drive business value. Lawrence seeks to utilise the latest technology to drive efficiencies, solve problems and help clients achieve their business and personal goals.

Cheryl Welch
Director of Operations
Cheryl joined Caldwell Penn in 2010, following a career break, having spent the first 17 years of her working life with Coutts Bank where she gained experience in general banking, lending, process re-design, process-re-engineering and project management. Her roles included Personal Assistant to Head of Private Banking, Business Finance Consultant and Project Manager. She studied for the banking exams and gained the Investment Advice Certificates I, II and III and is also Prince 2 qualified.
She has recently gained a distinction pass in CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership.
With Caldwell Penn she is responsible for the smooth running of the firm and her responsibilities include:

Jamie Snell ACA
Client Strategic Director
Jamie is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) and joined Caldwell Penn in 2015.
Jamie has experience in proactively supporting a diverse portfolio of clients, advising on ways to minimise expenditure, maximise profits and growing sustainable and successful businesses. By utilising the latest technologies, Jamie focuses on driving efficiencies, solving problems and helping clients achieve both their business and personal goals.
Geoff Allen FCCA
Finance Manager
Geoff joined the firm in December 2014 to manage the internal finances and accounts of Caldwell Penn. Since joining, he has successfully completed all of the relevant exams and requirements to achieve his ACCA qualification.
Responsible for a mixture of Finance together with Operations & Facilities, Geoff is constantly working to improve functionality and efficiency within the business through various means including practice reporting. He is also the in-house IT liaison as a naturally suited role resulting from his experience with technology.
Claire James ATT
Personal Tax Specialist
Claire is the longest standing member of the team having been with Caldwell Penn for longer than she cares to admit! She spent the early part of her career with BDO Stoy Hayward.
Specialising in personal tax, Claire manages the firm’s personal tax portfolio and has expertise in all areas of taxation.
Bradley Goddard CTA
Corporate Tax Specialist
Bradley joined the firm in September 2015 following the completion of his A levels. He has since completed the Association of Accounting Technician (AAT), Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualifications to further develop his tax knowledge.
He is a key member of the Tax Team and is responsible for the running of the firm’s corporation tax portfolio, ensuring client’s tax deadlines are met, preparing corporation tax returns and computations, as well as more detailed projects like ATED, R&D and Certificates of UK Residence. Bradley also provides support to the personal tax team during the busy tax season.
Rebecca Moore
Payroll & Company Secretarial Specialist
With nearly 15 years’ experience of running payroll, Rebecca joined Caldwell Penn in 2013.
Rebecca manages the firm’s payroll and is responsible for ensuring all clients are prepared for the challenges of the introduction of Work Place Pensions / auto enrolment over the coming years. Rebecca also is in charge of the firm’s company secretarial duties including the filing of Annual Returns with Companies House and the maintenance of company registers.
Luke Noble ACCA
Client Finance Partner
Luke joined the firm in April 2015 and is a qualified member of the ACCA.
Luke has experience in proactively supporting a diverse portfolio of clients, advising on ways to minimise expenditure, maximise profits and growing sustainable and successful businesses. By utilising the latest technologies, Luke focuses on driving efficiencies, solving problems and helping clients achieve both their business and personal goals.
Karen Coult ACA
Client Finance Partner
Karen started at Caldwell Penn in March 2014 and has completed her ACA exams as part of the firms training program.
Karen is responsible for the preparation and filing of the annual financial statements for the firms clients.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys travelling, socialising and helping out with local gymnastics clubs.
Kieran Buller ACA
Client Finance Partner
Kieran is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW) and joined Caldwell Penn in 2016 after graduating from Bournemouth University with a BA (Hons) Business with Finance degree. Working alongside the Client Finance Assistants, he ensures weekly-to-monthly tasks are being accomplished.
Kieran also takes a stronger role in client relations, advising on ways to minimise expenditure, maximise profits and oversee complex financial and accounting processes to ensure the future success and growth of your company.
Caitlyn Evans ACCA
Client Finance Partner
Caitlyn joined Caldwell Penn in February 2016 and is a qualified member of the ACCA. Working alongside the Client Finance Assistants, she ensures weekly-to-monthly tasks are being accomplished.
Caitlyn also takes a stronger role in client relations, advising on ways to minimise expenditure, maximise profits and oversee complex financial and accounting processes to ensure the future success and growth of your company.
Samuel Macco
Client Finance Manager
Sam joined Caldwell Penn in August 2018 having graduated from the University of Brighton with a degree (BSc Hons) in Accounting and Finance and is currently studying towards his ACCA qualification. He plays a key role in maintaining your financial operations and keeping your records up-to-date.
Sam is responsible for the day-to-day tasks, which includes data collection and entry across our range of services. As one of your main points of contact, he will be able to help answer any day-to-day questions you may have.
Outside of work, Sam plays 5 a side football during the week and enjoys socialising with friends and family at the weekend.
Tom Goddard ACCA

Georgia Ludlow

Georgia joined Caldwell Penn in September 2019 and is currently studying towards her AAT qualification. She plays a key role in maintaining your financial operations and keeping your records up-to-date.

Outside of work, Georgia has a keen interest in horse riding.
