Lawrence Evans is a Partner and Managing Director at Caldwell Penn and an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. Over 13 years with the firm, he has progressed from trainee through to the partnership, where he leads the firm’s growth strategy and shapes the overall direction of client service delivery.

Lawrence works across a wide range of client engagements, bringing senior, hands-on involvement to complex and fast-moving business environments. His experience spans owner-managed businesses, growing companies and entrepreneurial founders across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on building strong, long-term advisory relationships.

He plays a central role in the leadership of the Caldwell Penn Group, working closely with the wider partner team to develop the firm’s services, its people and its commercial offering.

Clients value Lawrence for his directness, his commercial instincts and his ability to cut through complexity and give clear, practical guidance. He is known for being genuinely invested in the success of the businesses he works with.

Outside of work, Lawrence is a Liverpool supporter and spends most of his spare time with his wife, their young son and their dog.
